Sound becomes heat

Sound becomes heat!
What actually happens inside our natural fiber acoustic panels?
In the pores of the absorbers, the sound is converted into heat. This reduces the reverberation. You hear less echo in the room.

The porous absorber:

Sound is absorbed by curtains, upholstered furniture or even acoustic panels. The sound energy is not lost in the process. It is converted into heat in the pores of the fabrics or acoustic materials. This is why these materials are also called "porous absorbers". They absorb the sound in the pores and convert it into heat.

The important thing here is that sound must be able to penetrate the pores. The surface of the acoustically effective porous absorbers must not be closed. Our natural acoustic panels are therefore coated with a fine layer of paint. In the process, the surface remains open-pored.
