Nomination for the Green Product Award 2022

St. Johann am Walde, AT, December 20 - 1500 participants from 54 countries have applied for the Green Product Award 2021. They were reviewed under the aspects of design, innovation & sustainability, pre-selected and now nominated. We are pleased to announce that Sound Insulation Panel made of Hemp is one of the nominees for the Green Product Award 2022 in the category Building Components!

About hemp soundproofing panel: The hemp sound insulation panel is the first sustainable sound insulation solution that you can install yourself. In addition to the high-performance and sustainable hemp sound insulation panel (CO2-positive, manufactured in Austria), the special innovation lies in the specially developed quick adhesive system. The hemp panels are pressed into the adhesive and hold bombproof to the wall within 3 seconds. Detailed video instructions show the installation. On 18. May the award ceremony will take place in Munich's ARRI cinema - as a TOP event of the Munich Creative Business Week. Therefore, in addition to the winners, the first collaborations between the participants will be announced here, which will be organized by the Green Future Club.

About the Green Future Club

Since 2013, the international Green Product Award has honored products and services that stand out in terms of design, innovation and sustainability. The aim of the club is to inspire consumers and industry with good examples and to provide feedback and networking opportunities for the participants of the awards so that more and more sustainable products .

The award presents 12 categories - Working World, Architecture & Tiny Houses, Fashion, Building Components, Interior & Lifestyle, Children, Consumer Goods & Personal Care, Kitchen, New Materials, Mobility and Sports. The Green Concept Award, presented in collaboration with the IKEA Foundation, exclusively honors concepts, materials and prototypes that are not yet on the market. Each year, the Green Trend Book showcases the upcoming sustainable trends and submissions to the Awards.

About SilentFiber

In 2006, Robert Schwemmer began to develop an insulation board made of hemp straw. Together with the company Caparol, industrial production of the natural insulating material was established in Lower Austria. Initially, facades were insulated with the sustainable material. The development was awarded a number of prizes - including the Austrian Climate Protection Prize. Measurements in the laboratory showed that the hemp insulation board has very good sound insulation values. It was against this background that the SilentFiber sound insulation board was developed.
