Hemp acoustic panel receives the Energy Globe Award

At the Energy Globe Award ceremony on 24.05.23 at the ORF Upper Austria in Linz, there was again an award for the hemp acoustic panel. The system "CapAcoustic Nature - insulation and acoustic solutions made of hemp" from Synthesa Group received the Energy Globe Award in the category Earth. SilentFiber is pleased to be a cooperation partner.

Environmental Oscar for hemp acoustic panels

Saiga Hans. Sustainable acoustic solutions made of hemp awarded the "Energy Globe Award Upper Austria" at a gala in Linz.

The acoustic panels were developed by Naporo, a start-up founded by Robert Schwemmer from Saiga Hans. Manufactured are the sustainable absorbers after the sale of hemp board production by the founder of the company Synthesa - with a lot of manual work in the Weinviertel from regional raw materials. Through the use of the acoustic solutions, the speech intelligibility in the room can be significantly increased and thus the noise level can be reduced. This can lead to a reduction in stress levels and an increase in concentration levels for the people who spend time in the room, explains Robert Schwemmer, who specializes in selling the sustainable acoustic solutions with his 2nd start-up SilentFiber. "We are very pleased that both insulation as the most important energy-saving measure and our acoustic solutions have been awarded the 'Environmental Oscar'.' was awarded. It shows that real change can be brought about through innovation and sustainability," says Synthesa Product Manager Julia Steinegger

About hemp acoustic panel

Hemp acoustic board, also known as hemp insulation board or hemp fiber board, is a building product made from hemp fibers. It is used for acoustic insulation of rooms to absorb sound and improve speech intelligibility.

Hemp acoustic panels consist of hemp fibers and hemp straw, which are pressed together to form a solid panel. Hemp as a renewable raw material has good acoustic properties and is therefore well suited for sound insulation.

Hemp acoustic panel is used in various areas, including residential buildings, offices, recording studios and event spaces. It is installed on the walls or ceilings to absorb sound and reduce reverberation or unwanted noise. By improving room acoustics, it helps create a more pleasant sound environment.

Hemp acoustic panels are considered an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional insulation materials, as hemp is a renewable raw material and generally consumes less energy and resources during production. In addition, they offer the advantage of good moisture regulation and also have good fire protection properties.
