1. Floor area of the staircase (in m²).
2. Number of floors and multiply the base area accordingly.

Example:

• Footprint: 10 m²
• Number of floors: 2
• Required area: 10 m² × 2 = 20 m²

If there is a particularly high floor, such as under a roof peak, you can use this as a 1.5 floors calculate.

Example with roof peak:

• Footprint: 10 m²
