Questions about sound insulation that we are asked again and again

A distinction is made between ACOUSTIC PANELS and SOUND INSULATION PANELS. Acoustic panels reduce the echo within a room. They do not help reduce the noise from the neighbor or the noisy street.

To hear your neighbor less, you can install the SilentFiber SOUND PROTECTION PLATE on the wall facing the neighbor.

An improvement of 5 - 10 dB can be achieved depending on the structure and substrate.
That doesn't sound like much? An improvement of 10 dB is a halving of the perceived volume. You hear your neighbor only half as loud - that sounds better, doesn't it?

The children's room is next to the technical room. Where should the panels be installed? In the children's room or in the technical room?

On which side you install the panels does not matter. As a rule, in the children's room is less wiring on the wall and installation here is easier.

Our panels are compatible with a wide range of substrates and can be easily and firmly attached - even without prior craftsmanship and specific tools. Your project "sound insulation of the wall" can therefore be implemented quickly and easily. Possible substrates for our sound insulation panels can be, for example, brick, wood chip masonry, concrete, solid wood/CLT (cross laminated timber), wood studs and drywall. For each substrate, we recommend the most suitable tools during installation:

- Brick and wood chip mantle block: Flex tile adhesive
- Concrete and drywall: "Hemp Quick & Easy" special adhesive
- Wood substrate: hemp screws

Worried that our hemp panels won't match your nicely wallpapered or plastered rooms? Don't worry, you can design the sound insulation on your wall facing the neighbor or the street to match your living space, and you also have the option of choosing different finishes to be applied over the hemp soundproof panels: For example, gypsum board, gypsum fiberboard, clay building board and decorative plaster. What you end up choosing as the final coating of the panels for your interior is entirely up to you: Wallpapering, painting or applying plaster - everything is convenient.

Sound insulation on your wall is actually child's play to install with our hemp panels - regardless of whether you want to better soundproof the wall to the neighbor or to the street.
