Bands of windows and a façade of square, ceramic panels characterize the new building of the Fraunhofer Institute for Physical Measurement Techniques IPM in Freiburg.

The clear structure of the building is also reflected in the more than 100 offices of the employees. Here, the square theme of the facade was combined with the Hemp acoustic panels picked up on. The sustainable absorbers absorb sound in the offices and thus ensure a pleasant working atmosphere - despite the high rooms.

Like the dark window bands, the acoustic panels divide and structure the white wall surfaces in the light-flooded rooms of the research facility.

The simple installation of the acoustic panels on the wall meant that the absorbers could be flexibly adapted to the room design and the use of the offices.
