Finnish designer Sani Miekkala creates art objects from the peat acoustic panels.
Sani has studied interior design. She loves to design spaces. She describes her work this way: "The idea for the art exhibition came to me during our own construction project. Our new space needed acoustics, but I wanted to design it in harmony with the interior design. Why not turn the acoustics into art?
I do not compromise on materials, I use only high quality, ecological and as much as possible local materials for my work. I take inspiration from nature, architecture, different cultures and daily life."
Sustainable art from peat
The sustainable acoustic objects reflect the diversity and power of life. From lovers to reed plants and sound waves to a world map, exciting objects are created with a practical additional benefit. They absorb sound and ensure peace and quiet in the room.
